We are proud to have collaborated with Horta Coslada on one of the most significant railway infrastructure projects currently nearing completion in Spain: the Los Tramposos Viaduct, a key element of the Valladolid East Freight Bypass (Variante Est Merci). The new railway line, spanning approximately 10.8 miles (17.5 km), is designed to reroute freight traffic away from downtown Valladolid, allowing cargo trains to run along a dedicated and more efficient route. The primary goal is to improve the operational capacity of the rail network, reduce interference with passenger traffic, and strengthen Valladolid’s logistical role as a strategic hub for rail connections in northern Spain. The complexity of the project demanded high standards of precision, planning, and coordination, both during the production phase and throughout the assembly operations, which featured the use of advanced incremental launching techniques to position the large steel sections.
